Care Quality Commission (CQC). Ever wonder what it is/does with regard to the Surgery?

Recently the Surgery underwent their CQC visit/review.

All doctors surgeries are subject to these inspections the aims of the CQC being:

Their purpose

They make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and we encourage care services to improve

Their role

They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and we publish what we find, including performance ratings to help people choose care.

As part of the review two members of the Friends of Crawley Down Health Centre Committee were interviewed.  A report will be published in due course which we will put on the website but for those interested in more detail on what happens when the CQC make a visit please click on the link below.

A wealth of information. Almost too much, but probably better to have available when research becomes necessary. Keep up the good work
