Old Mobile Phone Fund Raising Scheme Reminder

As advised in December we now have a depository available (in the shape of a silver barrel), in the surgery, for you to place your old mobile phones into.

So far we have raised £85.00 so please keep them coming. If you are able to donate one do try and find the charger which goes with it as it makes it much more commercial.

The proceeds will be used by ‘The Friends of Crawley Down Health Centre’ to cover our overheads with any balance left over being put towards our latest fund raising project which is going to be a new electrocardiograph machine for the surgery (again this is something not supplied by NHS England to doctor’s practices).

If you are able to donate a phone remember to do the following beforehand: (a) remove the Sim Card. (b) remove any multimedia memory expansion cards, (c) delete all entries from the phone’s internal address book.

If you are unsure how to perform any of these tasks put a note on your phone to that effect, (with your contact details in case we need to get in touch with you), and we will check it before it leaves our possession.

Many thanks for your help.
